Somes video formats exist on Logan's Run. The last technology, the DVD, had a edition of Logan's Run too, but just for the movie, not the TV Serie !!! The choice is more varied in USA where is the movie was be a true successfull, but the Tv Serie is a real and great Flop. Here is all the video Edition I was found on Logan's Run :

Video-Tape Edition :

This is the french version of the video tape of Logan's run of 1978. Now Here is the video-tape original, in differents versions of the packaging :

This is the video-tape of 1977 available in sale (on Ebay or other first picture on left!!!). In Color, English language and NTSC. The two others pictures is reedition of the video-tape (Year 2000 for the white picture !).

This is the Italian video edition by PopyRecord. Not subtitled, Italian language, PAL video format. Edited in 1980 (not sure !). I search actually more informations on.

The Japanese VHS editions. The first is edition is 1985 (the first picture on left) by MGM/UA. Not subtitled, Japanese language, NTSC video format. The price is very expensive at this date : 15000 at 17000 Yens !

LaserDisc Edition :

I love very much this support ! More that the DVD. This is the LaserDisc original edition collector with the bonus "The Lion Roars Again" where you can see David Hasselhoff trying a Sandman's costume. This Laserdisc is called Special Edition LaserDisc of 1977 - CLV - in NTSC (2 LaserDiscs). The movie is remasterised with a Dolby digital AC3, and you will find somes many many bonus that you can have on the collector edition of the DVD. You have somes pictures, somes audio-commentary, etc. Brief, a True collectible for the best fan !!!

LaserDisc original edition classical of 1977 - CLV - in NTSC (2 LaserDiscs). Nothing of special, this edition have the movie on a best support more better that the videotape !!! No bonus on this LD, just one trailer of the movie. But the pictures on the back of jacquet of the LD are very beautiful, same the pictures inside of jacket.

LaserDisc Japanese edition, Classical version of 1977 - CLV - in NTSC (one Laserdisc). The movie is in original version (in english) with japaneses subtitles ! Very Good ! No bonus, just somes trailers. Here is the technic headband of the LD (Note : made by Pioneer Inc.) :

DVD Edition :

DVDs originals editions in NTSC - ZONE 1 with a french track !!! Available in importation in somes shops in France, for the french fans. It's the only one edition for us french fans. We can just see the movie in french talking with this DVD (or subtitle in french language). Our country is really deplorable, of course no french edition of the DVD in Zone 2 and PAL is available at now (Why do it ?). But somes rumors comes that Warner Bros will made a French Edition of the movie this year in DVD Zone 2. I hope when the new movie will comes, something will change in France !!! The Jacket in white is the Warner Bros DVD's Edition in 2000, and under the MGM DVD's edition in 1998. The bonus are the sames on the two DVDs (commentary, featurette and Theatral trailer) and only different thing is the little booklet and DVD Picture in the MGM's Edition.

Well ! I was found this famous japanese DVD in my last travel in this country Zone 2/NTSC. I'm a little disappointed, because I was not found the collector editon of the japanese DVD. I hope find it in my next travel in japan !!! On the DVD you have the movie in original version (English Language) with theses choices : original version with Japanese Subtitles, original version without subtitle or (and it's very interesting!) : original version with English Subtitles !!! It's a very good English's Teacher for us french fans !!! Personally I was watched the movie with this choice, and it's very good for learning the english language !!! All on the DVD is in japaneses kanjis (Menu, texts, etc.) but it's very easy to navigate inside ! For the bonus, just somes trailers of the movie... Here is the jacket :

This is the DVD with the technical card of the DVD :

Note for the french fans, no problem for to read the japanese DVD in zone 2 on the french DVD Players (I'm testing on Playstation® 2 DVD player, A french first price DVD Player "Bluesky" and on Xbox® DVD player).
